Banks appointed to statewide Transportation Commission

President Cathrin Banks was recently appointed by Maryland Governor Wes Moore to serve on the Commission for Transportation Revenue and Infrastructure Needs (TRAIN). This newly created blue ribbon commission has been tasked with reviewing, evaluating and making recommendations on how transportation projects in Maryland should be prioritized and funded.

“I am extremely honored to serve as the freight rail industry representative on the newly-created TRAIN Commission. I look forward to working with my fellow commissioners on improving how our great state funds and administers infrastructure improvement projects, and ensuring that freight rail has a seat the funding table. I’m grateful to Governor Moore, Senate President Ferguson, and Speaker Jones for this opportunity,” Banks said.
