The Maryland and Delaware Railroad Company is a
short line railroad currently operating over 120 miles of track on the
Delmarva Peninsula. We pride ourselves in being a community-friendly local
operation with a reliable group of safety-minded employees. We spread this
atmosphere from our corporate headquarters, and we take care of each customer's
requests to the best of our abilities at all times.
You can find our headquarters in Federalsburg, MD, and our office hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern, Monday-Friday. While this is our center of operations, train crews also report to Massey, Md., and Selbyville, Delaware. Since we are situated in an agricultural area, our shipments follow suit. While our primary commodities handled are grain-related, we also haul fertilizer, plastic, lumber, paper products, wax, steel, propane and other chemicals. It is our pleasure to help link our customers to their suppliers and keep these critical commodities moving in a timely manner. Like our local atmosphere, we pride ourselves on
our customer service. We like to understand all of our customers to the
point that we can serve them when they want, not just when we feel like
it. Maintaining a technologically progressive environment, we are always
looking for and ready to take on new customers, new ideas, and new innovations.
